    What is Qtern used for?

Qtern contains dapagliflozin and saxagliptin. These medications are oral diabetes medications that help to control the level of sugar in your blood. Dapagliflozin works to help the kidneys get rid of glucose from your bloodstream. Saxagliptin helps regulate the levels of insulin produced by your body after eating.

Qtern is usually prescribed along side a diet and exercise regimen to improve blood sugar levels in adults who have type 2 diabetes.
Qtern can also help lower the risk of death from heart failure, a stroke, or a heart attack in patients who have both type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart disease.
Qtern is not for treating type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
